Responsible for managing a diverse client portfolio with minimal oversight, with the ability to oversee a team of Associates and/or Directors to support the management of clients and owning all aspects of assigned clients.
Ownership of a client portfolio includes:
Owning all daily tasks even when tasks are delegated to client team members.
Owning the long-term goals of clients and their projects.
Owning scheduled meetings, including follow-up.
Owning all aspects of client relationships and deliverables.
Supporting the firm’s clients and client leads through several roles, including:
Leading on the development and execution of strategic plans, including crafting the strategy, tracking progress, and ensuring each piece of the strategy moves forward.
Identifying when a client requires support from leadership or team leads, and ensuring the right people are engaged when challenges arise.
Proactively and consistently communicating progress and status updates to clients, both verbally and in writing.
Taking responsibility for client next step action emails after all recurring meetings and meetings with external stakeholders.
Connecting the client leadership with Kasirer leadership, when appropriate.
Strategizing on a variety of communication methods to ensure connections with every stakeholder, including calling, texting, emailing, etc. and following up until connections are made.
Identifying events that are important for clients to participate in and attending events with clients to ensure introductions and follow-ups are made.
Focusing on the briefing process for clients, ensuring Kasirer leadership is briefed with a clear objective, concise background, talking points, and in a timely manner.
Overseeing the briefing process for clients for all external meetings, ensuring clients receive information at least two days in advance with background, more than just information found online, talking points and clear asks.
Connecting with internal and external contacts to ensure appropriate connections for the client on all outreach.
Distributing daily relevant news, updates, procurement opportunities, and more to clients before 9am.
Ensuring that their team lead can fully cover every client by providing them with a briefing and list of action items for when they are out of office.
Attending relevant political, civic, and social events with clients and introducing them to key stakeholders.
Support a portfolio of real estate clients through relevant expertise, experience and knowledge.
Must have an understanding of City and State land use processes
Must know the specific purview of permitting agencies
Must be familiar with the politics of land use approvals
Must have relationships (and the ability to create, build, enhance relationships) in and out of city and state government - both appointed and elected officials, neighborhoods, communities, civic organizations that pertain to real estate, planning, development, etc.
Must be able to lead a client through the various land use processes while working collaboratively with other consultants (architects, land use counsel, expeditors, communications specialists, etc.)
Supporting the overall strategic needs of the firm through several facets, including:
Leveraging their extensive contacts with elected and government officials, key senior staff of elected and government officials, third-party and community stakeholders to benefit the firm’s operations.
Management of Associates who work on their client portfolio with them by delegating tasks, helping Associates develop their lobbying skills and guiding them through the strategy process for the client.
Overseeing the coordination of logistics relevant to any zoom or in-person meeting.
Developing relationships with principals of clients and staff, ensuring you are watching for and anticipating leadership changes, and proactively building new relationships.
Reviewing the calendar two weeks in advance to identify if preparation calls are required for Kasirer leadership and for clients before upcoming meetings.
Coordinating directly with the Scheduling team to ensure meetings are scheduled and challenges are overcome.
Continuously working to expand your personal network and connections to benefit client strategies and progress.
Coordinating with the business development team to prospect and pitch new business.

Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree in Urban Planning, RE Financing, Public Administration or similar a plus;
Minimum of six years’ experience working in either government relations, City or State government, Real Estate consulting, or other similar work.
Knowledge of and/or experience working in NYC or NYS land use agencies strongly preferred;
Strong oral and written communications skills and high attention to detail;
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a strong team ethic;
Willingness to attend night events/meetings and occasional weekend events;
Working knowledge of MS Office software, i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
