Sidney Essex is a Senior Associate on the Real Estate team, where he leverages his lobbying background to guide clients through New York City's complex approval processes and support their government and community engagement.

Prior to joining Kasirer, Sidney was a Senior Associate at Raben, a public affairs firm in Washington, D.C., where he worked as a federal lobbyist and communications consultant. In that role, he drafted, researched, and executed federal engagement strategies for nonprofit, corporate, and municipal government clients. He began his tenure at Raben as an intern, providing background research for client teams.

Sidney began his career at the Regional Plan Association, where he supported the organization's centennial fundraising and programming and got his first taste of land use policy work in New York.

Sidney graduated from the George Washington University with a major in Political Science. A native New Yorker, he is proud to be in the top 1% of Citi Bike riders in terms of all-time stations visited.
