As Vice President of Real Estate at Kasirer, Tobi works with a range of clients on advancing residential and mixed-use development projects across New York City.


Prior to joining Kasirer, Tobi was Assistant Vice President of Real Estate and Community Relations at Empire State Development (ESD). Tobi helped ensure the successful approvals of the World Trade Center Site 5 development project leading the business team and public engagement efforts. She also managed the Atlantic Yards Project, which to date has delivered significant infrastructure and transit improvements, thousands of mixed-income residential units, a new public school, a healthcare facility, retail, parking, open space, and recreational amenities. At ESD, Tobi’s portfolio also included directing the Queens West Development Project in Long Island City and liaising with the Boards of Directors for the Atlantic Yards Community Development Corporation and the Queens West Development Corporation.


Earlier in her career, Tobi was Chief of Staff for NYS Assembly Member Walter T. Mosley, and Deputy-Chief of Staff for Assembly Member Hakeem Jeffries.


A proud product of the public school system, Tobi holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science and a graduate degree in Urban Affairs from Hunter College. She has volunteered with Brooklyn high school students through the Women-In-Government Mentoring Program for over a decade. Tobi is Co-Chair of the NYC Urban Land Institute (ULI) NEXT Cohort and a 2025 Women in Power Fellow with the Belfer Center.


Tobi has been recognized as one of City & State’s 2024 Trailblazers in Economic Development, one of the New York Real Estate Journal’s 2025 Rising Stars, and was selected as a 2021 Council of Urban Professionals (CUP) Fellow.


Tobi is an avid reader and enjoys walking faster than the estimated travel time on Google Maps. A Nigerian immigrant with a passion for exploration, she has a goal of visiting 100 countries (45+ down!).
